The Crosby ISD Technology Services Department is committed to empowering every student with the 21st century skills, knowledge, and experience to become responsible and productive citizens. We strive to ensure that all students, parents, and teachers have access to the educational resources from anywhere and at any time to foster the development of skills such as collaboration, communications, and critical thinking. Our goal is to provide a robust infrastructure and access to the latest technology tools and resources for the effective integration of technology with the district curriculum.
Crosby ISD Technology Services Department supports 3,200 active network users across nine sites. The CISD network consists of 128 network switches offering 20Gb connections between each site connected with over 19 miles of fiber, 10Gb between a site’s MDF and its IDFs, and 1Gb POE to each RJ45 network drop. Currently in operation are 30+ physical Dell and HP servers running Windows Server 2008 – 2012R2, Citrix XenServer 7, and VMware vSphere 5.1. There are 40+ virtual servers for network services and unique functions. The four-system Exchange environment consists of 740 e-mail totaling 4TB of mail. Our services include on-site, remote, and help desk support, VoIP, VPN, systems management, project management, and standards development.
