    Family Access is designed to enhance parent/guardian and school communicaiton. Both parents and students access to course grades, attendance and other information.

    What information is available on Family Access?
    One login allows parents/guardians to view the records of all students within a single family, even if they are at different (CISD) schools. Students and parents/guardians each have their own login information. Parents/Guardians can view:
    • Student and emergency contact information
    • Assignments and grades
    • Attendance
    • Class schedules
    • Messages from the school office or teachers
    How do I get Family Access?
    Before you can use Family Access, you must have a username and password.  Please contact your child's school for more information on how to sign up for Family Access.

    What do I do if my Family or Emergency information has changed?
    Please notify the school if any student information has changed.
     
    How do I Email my child's teacher?
    On the Student Information screen, click the link on your childs teacher to send them an email message.

    When I log on to Family Access, I lose my connection after three to five minutes.  Why?

    Family Access has a default security setting that will terminate your connection if your computer is idle for longer than three to five minutes.  This feature is designed to protect against unauthorized access and can not be changed.
     
    I can't get Family Access to work on my computer; what should I do?
    Family Access is a web-based product, so it should work on your computer like any other web-based application, such as Internet Explorer. First, you should check to make sure you have the right Family Access web site address or URL. You can access the Family Access web portal from the CISD Parents drop down menu on the district web page.
     
    Can other people see my child's personal information on Family Access?
    Family Access is password protected. As long as you keep your password safe it is highly unlikely that anyone else will be able to access or view your child's personal information.
