Kindness means being friendly, generous and considerate. CKC students will be learning about and practicing being kind to each other and helping those in need. Random acts of Kindness week begins February 13. We will have a Random Acts of Kindness Week challenge at CKC! Pennies for Patients is another way we show kindness. We are collecting pennies to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students that donate $5 or more will have their name placed on our Pennies for Patients wall at school. See below for more information about our RAK week challenge and a great song about how we can show others kindness.
When you are honest, you feel good about yourself and others will trust you and want to be your friend. Students learn about how being honest makes you a trustworthy friend. Honesty is always the best policy even when it is hard. When we make a mistake we need to apologize and make it right or we will never feel better.
Students are learning about Gratitude. Gratitude means we are thankful for the things we have and we appreciate and return kindness. Howard B. Wigglebottom learns that giving kindness makes him feel happier than any gift he has ever received. Click below to hear the song.
Respect Students learn that respect means treating others the way we want to be treated. Showing respect 100% of the time means our school is a bully free zone! Click below to listen to the song.
Listening Skills In their lesson with the counselor, students learn how to be a better listener with Howard B. Wigglebottom. Click below to listen to a song about how to be a better listener.
