• About our Board Meetings

The Board of Trustees meets monthly (with the exception of July) to conduct the business of Crosby ISD.  With the exception of closed sessions, Regular Board Meetings and Special-Called Meetings are open to the public in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.  The Crosby ISD Board of Trustees conducts all meeting following informal Robert's Rules of Order.  All meetings are posted in advance at the front door of the CISD Administration Building and on the District website.

    • Regular Meetings

These meetings are usually held the 3rd Monday of the month.  Typically, these meetings begin at 7:00pm and take place at the CISD Operations Center located at 14670 FM 2100, Crosby, Texas 77532.  If date, time, and location of a Regular Meeting differs, advance notice will be provided when the meeting agenda is posted - no later than 72 hours before the meeting takes place.

    • Special Meetings

Special-Called Meetings are held on dates different from Regular Meetings and are held for the purpose of addressing business that requires attention prior to the following Regular Meeting. Notice of Special Meetings is given no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting time and posted at the front door of the CISD Administration Building and the District website.

    • Executive Session

Executive Session is any meeting or part of a meeting held behind closed doors and not open to the public in order to assure confidentiality regarding sensitive matters.  Occasionally, non-board members are invited into executive session, at the board's request, to report pertinent information.  Executive session is for deliberation and not formal action.  The Texas Open Meetings Act provides more information regarding allowable reasons for moving into Executive Session.  Executive Session might also be referred to as Closed Session.
