STIPENDSBilingual Stipend: $3,000 ESL Stipend: $1,500 High School Math Stipends $3,000 per year: 1) Must be Secondary Certified 2) Must be Highly Qualified High School Science Stipends $3,000 per year: 1) Must have Secondary Science Composite 2) Must be Highly Qualified $1,500 per year: 1) Must be certified for class teaching 2) Must be Highly Qualified Middle School 1) $1,500 per year for certified math teachers(Mathematics 4 - 8) and $1,500 for certified science teachers 2) Must be Highly Qualified Life Skills $1,500 per Year: 1) Must be certified to teach Life Skills 2) Must be Highly Qualified Teachers must be teaching the classes to receive the stipend. Full-time teachers will receive a full stipend and half-time teachers will receive half the stipend. A teacher who receives their certification during the school year and is teaching the required classes will receive a pro-rated stipend. "A Probationary certificate is applicable for the first year of employment in order to receive the stipend. To continue to receive the stipend your second year, you must have a standard teaching certificate in the subject area you are teaching. Distribution of stipends is subject to CISD administration approval."
