• CONTRACTS

    • Administrator renewal contracts (Principal and Directors) are presented to the board for approval at the February board meeting. Recommendations to the PS for preparation should be in January.
    •  Administrator renewal contracts distributed to current employees through the electronic system of TalentEd for the month of March. Any new administrator will receive contract through the on-boarding process.
    •  Assistant Principals and other professional employees’ renewal contracts are presented to the board for approval at the March board meeting. Recommendations to the PS for preparation should be in February.
    •  Assistant Principals and other professional employees’ renewal contracts distributed to current employees through the electronic system of TalentED for the month of April. Any new professional employee will receive contract through the on-boarding process.

     

    Note: 

    All new professional staff to CISD will receive a one-year probationary contract or a one-year probationary dual contract.

     

    Any new staff entering their second year with CISD that do not have five of the last 8 years in the education system will stay on a probationary contract for a consecutive 3 years.  If a fourth year probationary is being considered, conversation with the Assistant Superintendent of HR is a MUST (this should be a rare situation).  Then the employee may move to a one or 2-year term per the administrator’s recommendation.

     

    Any new staff entering their second year with CISD that have 5 of the last 8 years in the education system will move to a one year term for a consecutive 3 years with CISD (per Dr. Moore).  Then the employee may move to a 2-year term per the administrator’s recommendation.
