CHS COLLECTING BLANKETS FOR STAR
OF HOPE MISSION
CHS is collecting blankets for the Star of Hope Mission Downtown.
Apparently they are running out of blankets to distribute. If you
have any old blankets or quilts you do not want anymore, please send
them to the High School front office by 8am tomorrow morning. The
Drama Dept. is organizing this collection and has also asked for
clean jackets suitable for warm weather. Mr. Blanchard will be delivering
these tomorrow morning to the Star of Hope.
Can you imagine being in this cold all day with no warmth? Thanks
so much for giving!
3RD ANNUAL COLEEN WALKER RELAYS!
Good morning all and Happy New Year! It is that time of year to
start getting geared up for the 3rd Annual Coleen Walker Relays.
The relays will be held on SATURDAY, APRIL 21st at 9:00 AM. The
format will be the same as the last two years, and volunteers
are needed. If you haven't been to a relay yet, you are truly
mising a treat. Huffman ISD will be back bigger and stronger
with more kids and, hopefully, one more district will join us.
We were able to give a $1,500 scholarship last year to a CHS
Special Ed student to go to college and, hopefully, we can get
more this year. SO, get your running shoes and let's take off
this year and make this event even bigger and better. If you
have any questions, please feel free to contact me via e-mail
(eoney@crosbyisd.org) Thanks, and have a great remainding year.
