Crosby Athletic Department Food Drive

The Crosby Athletic Department conducted a food drive from December 7th - December 14th in conjunction with the Greater Houston Football Coaches Association to benefit the Shriner's Hospitals of Houston. Overall, Crosby ISD raised more can goods than all of the other Houston area schools combined. This year's total was 6500 canned goods.

Different campuses and classrooms throughout Crosby ISD competed to see who could bring in the most canned goods for the drive. This years winning campus led by Principal Patricia Kay was the Middle School with 6,095 total canned goods plus various boxed items. Kelli Gobert's classes collected over 2000 cans followed by Nancy Krauskopf's classes who donated over 600 cans. Amy Morris, Randi Blair, Kelly Brown, Shelly Cochran, Michelle Butkiewicz, and Eric Peevey's classes each donated over 300 cans each also. The largest single donation was that of Prince Reed with over 1700 cans brought in for the project. The second place campus was the Kindergarter led by Principal Ronnie Davenport. Although the campus had already done another food drive for Thanksgiving, they rallied and donated more for the Athletic Department drive.

The Crosby Athletic Department, Greater Houston Football Coaches Association, Shriner's Hospitals of Houston, and Coach Flanigan would like to thank everyone who took time and effort to get involved in this year's food drive. You have made a difference in someone's live this Christmas season.
