Congratulations Crosby High School FFA Students Cody Cormier-Grand Champion in Creative Art and Jordan French-Reserve Champion Pig at the Harris County Fair.  Way to Go Cody and Jordan!

Congratulations Crosby High School Debate Team. The debate team traveled to the Clear Lake High School Debate Tournament this past weekend.  The team of Nicholas Jennings and Stephen Anderson took home first place and the team of Matthew Malek and Lauren Saylor took second place in Varsity Cross-Examination Debate.  Collectively, they had a win-loss record of 11-1.  They defeated teams from Bellaire, Lamar, and Channelview.  Both teams are now qualified for the TFA State Tournament held this coming March in Dallas. Kudos to these Debate Champs!

Congratulations Lisa Pabst, a senior at Crosby High School (CHS), has been recognized as an AP Scholar by the College Board’s Advanced Placement Program. To earn this distinguished honor, Lisa received grades of 3 or higher on three AP exams taken last spring. Scholarly work, however, is only one aspect of what makes Lisa an exceptional student and person. With dreams of attending Rice University and becoming a neuro-surgeon, Lisa has already accomplished much. Last summer Lisa worked as a medical researcher’s assistant at Biodell in Connecticut. As a member of the Crosby High School Band, she made All-Area Band for the last three years. Lisa is an officer in the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society as well as an officer in the CHS National Honor Society.Recognition should also be given to Lisa as she is a member of the high school’s Christian Student Union, and has made five mission trips during the last five summers to the Navajo Nation in the Four Corners area of the United States. Lisa serves as an example of a young person who has translated her classroom success into life success as she helps and serves those around her. Some people set high standards; some are successful in meeting high standards - some like Lisa do both!
