4. When mutual respect and reciprocal learning is honored.

6. When challenged through a variety of methods to meet individual needs and learning styles.
7. Through meaningful and relevant information.
8. When given time to experiment, take risks, and make mistakes.
9. When self-motivated and encouraged to be responsible participants in their own learning.
