Planting a Promise

Student Council members

took time during

Red Ribbon Week in

October to ‘Plant a Promise’

in the Growing Garden.

Each Student council representative was given a red tulip bulb to plant. Along with that bulb, each students was to make a pledge to be drug free and sign their name to their pledge. That pledge was folded and planted at the bottom of the hole they dug to plant their tulip in. In the spring when the red tulips begin to appear, they will serve as a reminder to the students that they planted a promise to be drug free.

Fifty red tulips will bloom in the spring in the Growing Garden.
