Technology Implementation And Support

The most important issue when dealing with technology implementation or any program that has a technology component is to bring us in at the beginning.

Debbie Carfield and Tammy Ward are experts at the use of technology in the classroom and managing technology resources at your campus. They have classroom experience and specialized degrees in Educational Technology. They can quickly understand what you want to do and see the goals you want to accomplish. Most importantly, they can work with the technology department in determining the viability of any project within our current environment. This way, you are guaranteed a product that works, and can get an accurate timeline of implementation.

Purchasing a product without this input could be problematic. Also, any time you want to use a computer lab for something other than what it is set up for, you will need to contact them so they can make sure the technology will work for what you want to do. Never assume that a computer will work for a presentation, a training class, or other uses unless you’ve heard from one of us that it’s been checked out and tested.

Time: Some preparations require a lot more time than one might think. We need to have notice well before something is scheduled. For any new programs or hardware, we need to be able to evaluate it, test it, and determine if it interferes with other things that technology does. There is no guarantee that anything will work without our evaluation and with only a day or two’s notice before an event takes place.
