Hello, I am Ms. Laura Haynes, Principal of the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), with 23 years in education. Before joining Crosby High School, I spent 12 years teaching English and Math at Huffman ISD, where I also took on coaching duties.

I am from Carthage, Texas, where I also graduated from. Following high school, I enlisted in the United States Army and served for 10 years. My military service instilled in me a strong sense of discipline and leadership, qualities that I bring to my educational career. After my military service, I pursued higher education, earning my Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. I further advanced my education by obtaining a Master's degree in Education Administration from Lamar University.

I am grateful for being part of the Crosby Independent School District (ISD). I appreciate the wonderful and supportive community that surrounds Crosby ISD, and I am dedicated to contributing positively to the lives of the students and the broader community.
