Your Role is vital to the team's success. Strive to understand the importance of "TEAM".
When Coaches, Players, and Parents are all believing in each other and supporting each other, all things are possible.

INSIST ON EXCELLENT ACADEMIC SUCCESS
Baseball success is secondary to academic success. Our expectation is that your son learns to manage his time efficiently so that he is successful in his academic areas.
BE POSITIVE WITH YOUR SON:
Let him know this by emphasizing that simply being part of this program is an accomplishment. Please help your son focus on the positives and not dwell on the negatives.
ENCOURAGE HIM TO WORK AND DO HIS BEST:
Have your son live in the moment, and live for the day! His time as a Crosby Cougar is limited!
If he has issues of any kind, please have him meet with us to discuss it.
BE LOYAL TO THE PROGRAM AND TO THE COACHES:
Parental support of the program and the coaches decisions are important in not sending the player dual messages.
Support your son in meeting player expectations.
BE POSITIVE WITH ALL PLAYERS, COACHES, AND PARENTS IN THE PROGRAM
Parental support of all players of the team is important. Positive comments help the "TEAM" concept thrive. Negative comments can destroy the team concept.
SUPPORT THE STAFF IN HELPING YOUR SON SHOW EMOTIONAL CONTROL
Self-respect begins with self-control. Teach your son a "Respect for the Game" This includes loud outburst of negative language, and negative body language.
HAVE YOUR SON SEE THE COACH IF HE HAS A PROBLEM:
Almost all concerns can be handled at this step. Coaches are here because they love coaching and love working with your kids. There are many times they do not realize your son has a problem, so communicate to your son to let them know.
BE A GOOD FAN IN THE STANDS:
As a fan, you are entitled to yell your head off, if you want to. (Please do) We want to remain positive towards the opponent, all coaches, all players, and yes umpires. Please do not come over to the dugout during ball games. (Food Drinks, Extra coaching). If there is an emergency, and you are needed, we will come and find you.
