Public Information Requests

All public information requests must be made in writing. Requests for records are handled in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act. All requests should be submitted by email, mail, or in person.

When requesting public information, please note that the District is not required to create new information, perform legal research, or answer questions. If you have a question that does not require the production of public records, please feel free to call 281-328-9200 or email communications@crosbyisd.org so that we can direct you to the proper person to answer your question.

If you have a STUDENT RECORDS REQUEST, A SUBPOENA FOR STUDENT RECORDS, or are in need of a TRANSCRIPT, please contact the applicable campus directly for processing.

In your request, please include the following information:

Your name and contact information

If you have a preference to inspect records in person, to receive physical copies, or to receive electronic copies

If the information you requested is unclear or a large amount of information, you may be contacted to discuss clarifying or narrowing your request. There may be charges associated with the production of the requested information. You may find more information regarding the charges under the Public Information Act HERE.

Under the Public Information Act, some categories of information do not have to be released. Exceptions to disclosure fall into two general categories: 1) mandatory exceptions that make information confidential and require a governmental body to withhold information, and 2) discretionary exceptions that allow but do not require a governmental body to withhold information.
