Accountability
Public schools and districts are evaluated under specific state requirements ad federal requirements.
State A-F Accountability
State Accountability ratings are determined using a three-domain framework designed to measure the performance of every public school and district in Texas. Each domain includes multiple indicators that generate a score, providing a comprehensive evaluation of overall effectiveness.
Accountability ratings are issued based on whether campuses and districts meet the performance targets established for each domain.
- Domain 1: Student Achievement - captures overall student performance across all tested subjects.
- Domain 2: School Progress - evaluates year-to-year academic growth by subject area and student group.
- Domain 3: Closing the Gaps - measures advanced academic performance of economically disadvantaged students and the lowest-performing racial/ethnic student groups.
The issuance of 2024 and 2025 A-F ratings was released to the public on August 15, 2025. Crosby ISD earned a 78 (C) rating from the Texas Education Agency for the 2024-2025 school year.
Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR)
"The TAPR report pulls together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas each year. Performance is shown disaggregated by student groups including ethnicity and low income status. The reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff, programs, and student demographics." (TEA, 2007-2012) Attached below are the TAPR reports for Crosby ISD and the campuses within the district.
School Report Cards/Federal Report Cards/Annual Report
The State School Report Cards, "produced annually for each TX public school campus, contain information from the TAPR, as well as some information from the the Accountability Rating System for the TX public schools and districts." (TEA, 2007-2012) The State School Report Cards are posted below as well.
Additionally, the federal government produces a separate set of Report Cards. Districts are required to post the link for public access to these report cards.
Finally, TEC 39.306, requires that Texas school districts post an Annual Report after having been presented to the local school board during a Public Hearing. A copy of the CISD Annual Report can be found below.
