Crosby ISD Grievance Process
Level 1 – Campus Principal

Purpose: Resolve concerns at the campus level.

Steps for Parents:

Complete the grievance form with your child’s information and a clear description of the issue.

Submit the form to the campus principal.

The principal will review, investigate, and respond, within 10 business days.

Level 2 – Director of Student Services / District Administrator
-
Purpose: Address concerns not resolved at Level 1 or that involve district-wide policies.
-
Steps for Parents:

Submit a grievance form to the Director of Student Services.

Include all documentation from Level 1.
-
The Director will investigate and provide a written response, within 10 business days.

Level 3 – Superintendent Designee

Purpose: Review unresolved grievances from Level 2 or serious matters requiring district-level attention.

Steps for Parents:

Submit a grievance form and all supporting documentation to the Superintendent designee.

The Superintendent designee may request a meeting and will provide a written response.

Level 4 – School Board / Final Appeal

Purpose: Final review if the grievance remains unresolved after Level 3.

Steps for Parents:

Submit a formal grievance appeal to the School Board through the Superintendent.

The Board will review the documentation, may hold a hearing, and issue a final written decision.

Tips for Parents at All Levels:

Keep a copy of every form and attachment submitted.
-
Include dates, times, locations, and names when relevant.
-
Be clear, factual, and respectful in your descriptions.
-
Attend any requested meetings to support your grievance.
