Counseling Services
Small Group and Individual Counseling
The District Therapist conducts small group and individual counseling sessions to focus on student’s emotional concerns and enhance the students social development. Services may also focus on providing support in overcoming crisis, trauma, grief, resolving conflict, improving attendance or decision-making skills.
Using Restorative Practices, the District Therapist supports students transitioning from DAEP, residential placement, or other situations that can separate a student from the campus. They assist in developing and monitoring a support plan with the campus administrators, counselors or teachers, for the student to be successful upon their return, As part of this plan, students may receive individual or small group counseling or to assist them in building positive relationships, check in with their progress, and work on personal goals.
Grief Support
Unfortunately, many educators and students have experienced the significant loss of a loved one. We want to support students and families through these difficult times.
The district, and often campuses, want to reach out to students who have lost a family member and send them something to let them know they are loved and supported by their school. Please let your counselor or administrator if know if you have a student who needs support. Below are collected resources that will help families and students coping with grief at home:
