HEY! Day and HEY! Week

window

Each Wednesday, all Crosby ISD educators have the opportunity to encourage inclusive conversation and promote positivity with their classes with a District-wide focus. We encourage everyone to WEAR GREEN on Wednesdays to promote kindness and friendliness.

Elementary girls (5th grade, some campuses include 4th grade) are invited to attend HEY! Girl! Hey! with a parent consent form through their campus counselor. These students focus on social skills that focus on young ladies and helps improve peer relationships and conflict resolution.

During the school year, we have HEY! Week (to coincide with Kindness Week) with fun dress up days, contests, and photo opportunities to showcase Crosby ISD Kindness.

Other ways educators can encourage students is the use of positive affirmations, or HEY Seeds, challenging students to make a new friend, sit with or play with someone new, or by simply saying “HEY!” to as many people as you can to put smiles on their faces.

HEY! Day is a simple way to show Crosby ISD as a great place to be!
