    WHAT HAPPENS ON PLC DAYS AT CHS AND CMS?
    The biggest change on PLC Days is a late start for students at Crosby High School and Crosby Middle School (6th through 12th grade). PLC Days happen on Wednesdays. The doors will open at 8:10am at Crosby Middle School and 8:20am at Crosby High School. Instruction begins at 9am. The first PLC Day for the 2022-2023 Fall Semester will be Wednesday, September 14 for secondary students. There are a few Wednesdays during the year when PLC days do not happen. For instance, there are no PLC days in December or May. We will alert you when a Wednesday is a normal scheduled day.

    WHAT HAPPENS ON PLC DAYS AT ELEMENTARY?
    PLC Days means no school for elementary students (Pre-K through 5th grade). There are four (4) PLC Days for elementary schools throughout the year: September 16; November 11; March 3; April 10.

    WHAT ARE PLC DAYS?
    PLC is an acronym for Professional Learning Communities. Professional Learning Communities allow teachers an ongoing opportunity to work collaboratively to plan, research, and exchange ideas for the purpose of better serving their students.  Our PLCs are an important part of our academic success in Crosby ISD and we have planned times throughout the year for our teachers to work together.

    ¿QUÉ SUCEDE EN LOS DÍAS DE PLC EN CHS Y CMS?
    El mayor cambio en los Días de PLC es un comienzo tardío para los estudiantes de Crosby High School y Crosby Middle School. Los días de PLC ocurren los miércoles. Los campus abrirán a las 8:10am CMS and 8:20am CHS. La instrucción comienza a las 9 am. El primer día de PLC para el semestre de otoño de 2022-2023 será el miércoles 14 de septiembre para estudiantes de secundaria. Hay algunos miércoles durante el año en que los días de PLC no suceden. Por ejemplo, no hay días de PLC en diciembre o mayo. Le avisaremos cuando un miércoles sea un día programado normal.

    ¿QUÉ SUCEDE EN LOS DÍAS DE PLC EN LA PRIMARIA?
    Días de PLC significa que no hay clases para estudiantes de primaria (Pre-K a 5to grado). Hay cuatro (4) Días PLC para primaria durante todo el año: 16 de septiembre; 11 de noviembre; 3 de marzo; 10 de abril.

    PLC es un acrónimo de Comunidades de Aprendizaje Profesional. Las Comunidades de Aprendizaje Profesional brindan a los maestros una oportunidad continua de trabajar en colaboración para planificar, investigar e intercambiar ideas con el fin de servir mejor a sus estudiantes. Nuestros PLC son una parte importante de nuestro éxito académico en Crosby ISD y hemos planificado momentos a lo largo del año para que nuestros maestros trabajen juntos.
