The proliferation of child predators using the Internet to target young victims has become a national crisis. A study shows one in seven children will be solicited for sex online in the next year. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is urging all parents and teachers to realize the risks our children face online, and do something to stop the predators before they target the innocence of more Texas children.
TEA Internet Safety Program
In accordance with HB 3171, Section 38.023, the Texas Education Agency has developed and made available to school districts a list of resources concerning Internet Safety. In the navigation bar on the left are links to 3 types of pages which are for students, educators and parents. Within each of the pages are links that categorize different aspects of Internet safety and digital citizenship to educate and inform.
