Board Member, Cathi Hughes, Resigns Her Position on the Board of Trustees
Board Member, Cathi Hughes, who represents District 2 for Crosby ISD on the Board of Trustees submitted her official resignation from the Board of Trustees effective immediately. We want to thank Ms. Hughes for her years of service and volunteerism and wish her well in her future endeavors.
Dear Mrs. Windfont, Dr. Davis & Board of Trustees:
It is with regret that I tender my resignation from theCrosby ISD Board of Trustees effective immediately. After a lengthy effort by my husband and me to find a home in Crosby, we have officially asked our realtor to stop looking in Crosby. My sole reason for not running for re-election was that I no longer resided in District 2. Although, after my marriage and moving to my husband’s home, it was our intent to return to Crosby – it has not happened. Due to the recent circumstances that have come to light and the crucial decisions that need to be made in order to repair this great community and District, I do not feel it is prudent for me to have a voice in those decisions - not living in the District.
I am grateful for having the opportunity to serve this great community alongside each of you for the last (almost) four years, and I offer my prayers and best wishes to each of you and the entire CISD. I will continue to be supportive of efforts to improve this great district & community. My heart will continue to be in Crosby as it has been for the last 28 years as now my grandchildren will begin their educations within CISD - just as my five children did. May God continue to guide each of you as well as Dr. Davis as leaders in the success of CISD. Crosby Proud!
