Crosby ISD Earns "Best Communities for Music Education" Award

Crosby, TX (April 2, 2024) - Crosby ISD has been selected as one of 2024's "Best Communities for Music Education" by the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Foundation.

Crosby ISD earned the distinction thanks, in part, to the district's dedication to music education and ensuring music is a part of well-rounded educational offerings. Designations are made for districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.

The NAMM Foundation said "We applaud your community's unwavering commitment to creating an environment where each child can learn and grow with music."

Crosby ISD Director of Bands, Mr. Kevin Knight, said, "This is due to strong community, administration, staff, and parent support of music education in our district. Our community values and supports the arts! Crosby Cougar Pride!"

Crosby ISD is one of 115 districts or schools in the state of Texas and one of 975 districts across the country to earn the "Best Communities for Music Education" distinction this year.
