Mrs. Operium Baldwin, Principal

My name is Operium Baldwin, and I'm excited to return as the Principal of Crosby Kindergarten Center. I was raised in Barrett Station, and a longtime Crosby resident. I received my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Houston- Downtown. I have a master's degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University. I joined Crosby Kindergarten Center in 2011 and served as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher for one year and a Kindergarten Teacher for five years. I also served as the Campus Instructional Coach for one year. Since 2018, I have served as the Assistant Principal of Charles R. Drew Elementary. In 2017, I was recognized and featured by the Texas Education Agency “I Am TXEd” campaign". I'm a connected educator with over 4000 followers on Twitter and Instagram who loves to guest host and participate in weekly Twitter Chats. In addition, I am a Teachers Pay Teachers author who enjoys creating activities that integrate technology in the classroom.  As a former student of Crosby ISD, nothing makes me prouder than to work for a district where I feel "My Community Matters!" I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work and make a difference in the Crosby/Barrett Station community I grew up in.  I am married to my husband Alex, and we have three children. During my free time, I enjoy shopping and spending time with my family.
