Cynthia Paneitz

I was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and attended Baker University in Kansas.  I graduated with a degree in Biology in 2004 and moved to the Houston area the following summer.  After earning a teaching certification I began teaching science in Channelview ISD.  In 2014 I was so excited to be hired by Crosby High School (GO COUGARS!) to teach biology!  Science is truly a passion of mine and I hope that you feel that while you are in my class.

Oliver and Maizy are my kids and are just the smartest, cutest, and silliest people I know.  This year Oliver will be in 8th grade and Maizy will be in 5th.  Our family stays really busy doing all sorts of activities.  Oliver plays football, plays the French horn in the CMS band, and is a Boy Scout.  Maizy takes piano lessons, dance class, and is a Girl Scout.  We also love swimming, baking, watching movies, traveling, and doing science stuff together. They LOVE coming to my classroom and seeing what we have been up to.

Some other things that you might like to know about me:

1. I love all kinds of sweets.  Toasted marshmallows and ice cream are my favorites!

2. I have a goal to visit all of the National Parks in my lifetime.  I have already been to quite a few and can't wait to have my next adventure!

3. Nature is the where I find peace and inspiration.  This is why biology is so close to my heart.
