• Hi! My name is Jessica Hill. I grew up not too far away, in Baytown.  I graduated from University of Houston in 2008 and began teaching in Crosby in 2009. Prior to finishing college, I was a para-professional for another school distirct in their K-1st grade Life Skills room.

After losing my house in Hurricane Ike,  my family and I moved to Crosby. I have two children. My eldest son just finished a police academy while my younger son is enlisted in the U.S Navy.

When I started with the district in 2009 as a Special Education Teacher, I  supported a variety of Science classes as an In-Class Support Teacher. I was CHS Teacher of the Year in 2011. In 2014 I became the District Transition Specialist, VAC and 18+ Program Coordinator, Special Education Department Chair and Cheer Sponsor.

My goal as the District Transition Specialist is to work with students and families to develop solid transition plans for life after high school. To better focus on this, I stepped down as cheer coach, VAC and Department Chair so that I can focus on transition planning and our 18+ Programming. Currently, I am the District Transition Specialist and 18+ Program Coordinator/Teacher. My job is to work with students and their families to plan for their adult life. This planning is constantly updated to meet the ever changing needs of the students. This can include applying for services, determining best fit occupations, finding community resources and increasing independent living skills. I strive to make myself available for all my students and parents should they have any questions or concerns. I am so honored to be able to work at Crosby ISD for the past 14 years and look forward to many more!

If you have a student that receives Special Education Services and you are interested in learning more about Transition Services, please feel free to contact me so that we can set up an appointment.
