    Welcome to Mr. Knight's Teacher Website!

    Kevin Knight is the Director of Bands at Crosby High School. He serves as the Head Director of Bands for the Crosby Independent School District, working with all bands throughout CISD at Drew Intermediate School and Crosby Middle School.

    Mr. Knight is a graduate of Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, FL, where he was a student of Randy Nelson and Chad Hannah. At the Florida State University College of Music, he earned a Bachelors of Instrumental Music Education where he studied with Patrick Dunnigan and David Plack. As a French horn player, Knight was a member of the Florida State University Horn Studio, under the mentorship of Michelle Stebleton.

    Under Mr. Knight's leadership, Crosby High School Band students have earned numerous All-Region Honor Band placements, Area advancements and Solo & Ensemble medals each year. During Knight's tenure, the Crosby Band Program has increased the number of students involved and the number of yearly performances in the community and the greater Houston area. The Crosby Band has traveled and performed at the Orlando Walt Disney World Resort (2008), in Hawaii (2010) and recently in Los Angeles, California (2012) bringing home a 1st place award from the Anaheim Heritage Festivals Contest!

    Mr. Knight composes, arranges and edits many musical pieces performed and charts all drills performed by the Crosby Cougar Military Marching Band. He holds memberships in the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, National Band Association, Kappa Kappa Psi and the National Association of Military Marching Bands.
