Crosby ISD Community Newsletter Earns Top PR Honor

Crosby, TX (February 29, 2024) - The CommUNITY Connections newsletter from Crosby ISD won a Gold Star and the prestigious Best of Category Award during the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) Star Awards. This is the first Best of Category win for Crosby ISD since 2017. Best of Category is the top prize given by TSPRA Star Awards judges.

In all, Crosby ISD earned six Gold Star Awards and one Silver Star during the 62nd annual TSPRA Conference in Sugar Land. The Best of Category win for the CommUNITY Connections newsletter was for best E-newsletter. Two compelling stories from the Crosby ISD communities won Gold Star Awards for Video Feature Story. "Champion for Crosby ISD Kids: Mr. Ron Davenport" and "The Teacher in the Mural: Mrs. Deloise Richardson." A third story, "Gone Fishin'" won a Silver Star for Video Feature Story.

Crosby ISD also won Gold Stars for Calendar and Published Press Release.
