  • It doesn’t take long to discover all of the intangibles that make Crosby a special place.  I am very fortunate to be in the position of Superintendent of Schools in Crosby, TX.  We have amazing students, involved parents and a supportive community.  I am able to go to work every day and consider it a blessing.
As superintendent of Crosby ISD, it is my fundamental belief that the schools of Crosby belong to the citizens and tax payers of this community.  I believe that it is my job to work with the representatives of our community and the Crosby ISD Board of Directors to create a school system that we can all be proud of while being a good steward of taxpayers’ money. As a child, my learning experiences were orchestrated and supported by two of the most outstanding educators I have ever known, my parents.  Together, they shared a passion and commitment to education that spanned some 30 years.   My mother was an elementary reading teacher and my father was a physical education teacher and coach.  Their example of passion, commitment and professional excellence helped to influence my decision to become an educator. Because of the influence that they and many other wonderful educators have had on me over the years, I have the deepest respect for and the highest expectations for the wonderful people that choose to work with our children.

Throughout my career my experiences have included the following:

    Middle School Math Teacher
    High School Business Teacher
Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track and Powerlifting Coach
    Middle School Assistant Principal
    Elementary Principal
    High School Principal
    Director of Technology
    Director of Secondary Curriculum
    Assistant Superintendent of Special Programs

My wife, Lee, is also pleased to be a part of the Crosby ISD family.  She is an educational diagnostician who works collaboratively with a team of CISD experts to address the educational needs of a diverse and growing population.   Our two daughters, Addison and Madeline are proud members of future CHSgraduating classes of 2015 and 2018.  It did not take long for “Cougar Pride” to impact our family!
Both my early learning experiences and my work experiences have caused me to have great respect for education and for those who dedicate their lives to educating our children.  The Crosby ISD family of educators continues to demonstrate service worthy of that respect.  With the help of our staff, and in cooperation with parents and community members, we will strive to be a student-centered educational organization, leaving no room for doubt that we are in the business of educating all children.
I am proud of our past and excited about our future.  Thank you again for this opportunity.
