Records Retention Schedules The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) is the state agency that enforces all matters regarding records. A Records Retention Schedule or a Records Control Schedule is a document that identifies and describes a state's agency records and the length of time that we must retain certain records.
Crosby ISD subscribes to 4 series of Records Retention Schedules because we maintain at least some records in each category:
- Schedule EL (Records of Elections and Voter Registration)
- Schedule GR (Records Common to All Governments)
- Schedule SD (Records of Public School Districts)
- Schedule TX (Records of Property Taxation)
When determining the length of time that you are lawfully required to maintain a record, refer to one of the four Schedules above. Click each schedule for the complete document from the TSLAC website.
